Personal graphic design project
Exploring Brazilian
patterns in graphic design
I created this graphic design series to explore the dynamic intersections of two rich visual patterns that are iconic in Brazilian and Rio Identities.
Drawing inspiration from the curves and mosaic tiles of Copacabana and juxtaposing them with the Ipanema one, this project is a graphic dialogue between fluid geometry and structured pattern.
The goal was to not only recreate classical design but also to experiment with blending them. I tested these patterns across mockups for identity graphics, textiles, stationery, and print design. The results highlight texture, rhythm, and contrast, offering design assets that are visually striking and culturally resonant.
This is a personal exploration, but its value is professional: it sharpens my pattern design skills, expands my style portfolio, and reinforces my creative versatility. All of them very important traits for brand identity, print/textile design, and experiential graphics projects.
Let's work together!
This project shows how patterns can tell stories across cultures. If you’re looking to bring texture, rhythm, and cultural depth into your brand or event design, let’s connect and create something memorable together.
