I pitched a graphic campaign for a sports newspaper in Rio de Janeiro. The idea was to portray live-action sports figures as illustrative collages with news rags. The idea later evolved, and the client printed them for the World Cup coverage campaign.
I created 8 football figures to portray classical players from some of the most charismatic teams of the tournament. In addition to the initial set, I create the goalie pose of a special billboard activation in São Paulo.
Each artwork  represented a team and they illustrated a campaign across newspaper, magazine, OOH and online.
The Impact
It was a very engaging campaign across different media and spaces. The public has taken the designs so well that they started collecting the different designs and the newspaper made the artworks available for download online.
